The rates shown are indicative and calibrated against prices published by the main European brokers. They cover the aircraft, the crew, fuel and landing fees. Write to us for a firm price.
Indicative estimates — not a binding offer.
We start from the distance between the two airports, increased by 6 % to account for real air routes, which never follow a straight line exactly. From that we derive the flight time using the cruising speed of each aircraft category, then add ground manoeuvring. That time is multiplied by a range of hourly rates observed on the European market, with the minimum billing of one and a half hours that most operators apply.
Because an exact price depends on which aircraft is genuinely free that day, where it is positioned when you enquire, the season, and the fees specific to each airport. Quoting a firm price without having consulted the operators would be dishonest. The range gives you the right order of magnitude to decide whether the trip is realistic.
That is the peculiarity of business aviation. The aircraft does not stay put: it has to return to base or reach its next assignment, and that repositioning flight is billed. A same-day return is therefore often barely more expensive than a one-way. It is also what creates the empty leg market.
In our quotes: flight time, fuel, the crew and their expenses, landing and handling fees, and standard onboard catering. The price quoted is the price paid. Any airport surcharges during peak periods are stated in advance, never after the flight.
Three levers, in order of effect. Flexibility on dates lets us catch an aircraft that is already positioned. An empty leg — an aircraft flying back empty after a mission — can drop below half the standard rate. Finally, choosing a category that is just sufficient for the distance and the number of passengers avoids paying for range you do not need.
No. JETLINEA is an air charter broker. For each flight we select the most suitable aircraft among those of certified operators, rather than offering you whatever we hold on the books. That is what allows us to compare rather than sell.
